**Job Title**:Assistant Psychologist

**Job Location**:Field based**, **traveling to various locations across Devon.

**Salary**:£25,155.00 per annum, based on working 40 hours per week, 52 weeks of the year.

**Contract Type**:Permanent - Full Time

As an Assistant Psychologist, you’ll have the opportunity to be involved with the emotional wellbeing, mental health assessments and treatment services for our children and young adults with complex needs, such as learning difficulties/disabilities, neurodiverse needs, and some of whom may have experienced trauma.

You’ll be joining an exceptional integrated therapy team, like no other, surrounded by a diverse group of professionals whose expertise will inspire and help you grow. You’ll take the lead on initial assessments, performing behavioural observations in our children’s homes, and collaborating on treatment and care plans with our qualified professionals. You’ll play a crucial role in identifying and implementing measures with managers that will significantly impact our children’s daily lives.

As an Assistant Psychologist, you’ll experience will be valued and your voice will be heard by delivering training across the whole organisation and participating in the review and development of clinical policies and identifying improvements to our current service provision.

This role will require you to travel across Devon covering all our children’s homes, giving you the chance to really get to know the children you’re supporting and see how you’re helping them flourish and grow.

**A day in the life of an Assistant Psychologist will involve**:

- Carrying out initial Clinical assessment in the children's homes.
- Delivering Attachment and Trauma training to the Education and Care Teams.
- Leading on the outcome measures in the homes, meeting with managers and creating reports on a regular basis.

**To be a successful Assistant Psychologist, you’ll need**:

- An undergraduate degree in psychology - eligible for BPS graduate membership.
- Experience of working with people with learning or mental health difficulties.
- The desire and confidence to offer training to others.
- Good IT skills - We’ll train you on how to use our systems, but it would help if you had a working understanding of using Microsoft packages like Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
- A full driving licence. You will need to travel to different locations in Devon on a regular basis.
