**About Oscars**

Come and work in a key role with the wonderful growing team at Oscars, where our new management team encourage and support progression on our career pathway.

We offer warm and friendly childcare for children aged 5 to 14 years. Many of our sites are located within the local primary schools fostering close links with the surrounding community.

Our aim is to provide quality out of school childcare to children. **Hours / Shifts**

For a Full Time Play Worker, the hours would be Breakfast Club and After School Club, with flexible administration time to create your full working week. The club shifts are:
Breakfast Club - Monday to Friday from 7.15am to 9am
After School Club - Monday to Thursday from 2pm to 6pm, and Friday from 11.30am to 6pm

We can also offer Part Time and Casual roles.

**What you'll be doing**

In the role of Play Worker (Qualified) you'll be:

- Ensuring a safe, caring, stimulating and fun environment for all children at the club.
- As an Additional Needs Play Worker you will help children with disabilities to enhance their life opportunities by providing play activities that are person centred.
- Engaging effectively with the children during their time in the club.
- Planning and taking part in play and leisure activities for children.
- Assisting with the setup of the club so it's ready for when the children arrive and that any snacks or breakfasts are prepared in line with healthy-eating guidelines.
- Thoroughly enjoying your role and making each day count for the children in our care.

**What we need from you**

Additional Support Needs experience is welcomed but not essential if you have previous child care experience. We will provide you with everything you need to succeed and even give you the opportunity to gain a qualification in a childcare setting All you need to have is the passion, commitment, energy, and motivation to come and train with our experts

In the role of Play Worker (Qualified) we're ideally looking for someone who has:

- SCQF Level 7 (which is equivalent to SVQ Level 3) or HNC in Childcare and Education or a Play work qualification.
- Additional Support Needs experience.
- First Aid qualification and Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or the ability to achieve.
- A real passion to work with children, make a difference and help them thrive.
- On occasion you may be asked to work in other sites within the local area any travel/mileage costs will be paid in these circumstances.
