Extruder Mill Operative

We are seek operatives for a leading pet food production company based out of the North Scarle region of Lincoln. Dedicated to providing high-quality and nutritious pet food products to furry companions across the UK. With a strong commitment to innovation and excellence, we are seeking a skilled Extruder Mill Operative to join a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor extruder machines to produce premium pet food products in accordance to guidelines and quality standards.
Set up and adjust extrusion parameters, including temperature, pressure, and speed, to ensure optimal product quality and consistency.
Prepare raw materials for the extrusion process, ensuring proper blending and mixing to achieve desired specifications.
Conduct regular quality checks and inspections of the extruded products to identify defects, deviations, or any variations from the required specifications.
Collaborate closely with the production team to troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that may arise during the extrusion process.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the extruder machines, following maintenance schedules and protocols.
Maintain accurate production records, documenting output, quality control results, maintenance activities, and any incidents encountered during your shift.

Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience as an extruder mill operative or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred.
Knowledge of extrusion processes, machinery operation, and materials handling.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
Attention to detail and the ability to perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Flexibility to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, which includes weekends and holidays.
Commitment to workplace safety and the ability to follow safety protocols diligently.
