Mechanical Supervisor

The role of the Mechanical Supervisor is, to assist in the safe and continuous operation and delivery of professional estate maintenance to all the Trusts mechanical engineering services and building plant and equipment. To provide effective maintenance, both planned and reactive, repair and installation service which is responsive to the user's needs. This includes, supervision and control of the maintenance team, responding to breakdown requests received from Departments via the Estates Help Desk, to advise and inform in respect to works in progress, fault rectification on complex building services engineering systems and to promote the efficient use of manpower and materials and the provision of an effective day-to-day maintenance service through the team of craftsmen and assistants.

The post holder should be able to demonstrate assessed competence and have undertaken the relevant training in order to achieve this.

The post holder will be required to participate in the estates out of hours on call service.

The post holder will support the Maintenance Manager and Mechanical Officer to assist with day to day running of the department, monitoring and controlling workshop performance.
