We are seeking to recruit experienced and dedicated education staff to work within a large Secondary school in Merthyr. The school support learners in Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.

The secondary school prides itself on being an inclusive environment for learners aged 11 to 17 and prides itself on the high expectations for behaviours and exam results. The school is committed to being an exceptional learning environment and continues to improve year on year.

As a Welsh Government framework staffing provider, we will allow you to work in Primary, Secondary and SEN schools as well as numerous privately run education provisions across Wales.

**Overview**:
**-Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant / Cover Supervisor -Pay: £100 per day minimum**

**-Location: Merthyr**

**-Hours: Ad Hoc, Short Term and Long Term - Monday to Friday 830am - 330pm**

**The role: What you’ll be doing**
- Lead a classroom of learners - Key Stage 3, 4 and/or 5
- Preparing the classroom for lessons
- Working with learners in small groups and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs on occasions
- Deliver pre-planned work in the absence of the class teacher -Assist learners at break time with their lunch where required
- Engage learners with both classroom and out-of-classroom activities
- Work in accordance with the school’s behaviour management policies

At least 3 months experience of working with children in schools, nurseries or childcare settings - experience within a secondary school setting would be beneficial
- Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this
- References covering the last two years (no gaps)
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
- The right to work in the UK
