Trainee Driller

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, hard working individual to learn and develop a career as a geotechnical driller. We are looking to appoint a Trainee Driller to join an experienced and award winning team, delivering Ground Investigation and Geotechnical Services to a wide range of clients across the UK with the UK’s number one company in this industry.

This is an entry-level role so no prior experience is necessary - the recruitment process will be based on transferable skills and attitude. However, research into what the role entails will be looked upon favourably.

**You must be**:

- willing to travel to work anywhere in the UK
- willing to stay away from home through the working week
- fit and able to perform manual tasks
- willing to learn

No formal qualifications are necessary, as all on-job training will be provided. Your challenge will include assisting the Lead Driller to:

- Drill boreholes and reinstate the ground
- Undertake any other site related activity as appropriate
- Adhere to all SOCOTEC and site specific Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies
- Work towards personal and vocational qualifications where appropriate

We’re looking for a professional, dynamic and motivated individual with ability to work as part of a team. Communicative & organised, you must also:

- Full Clean UK Diving Licence with licence to tow desirable
- CSCS card (desirable)
- Mobility, flexibility and commitment.
- Enthusiasm & sense of humour
