We have a permanent full time position working for a successful organisation based at their site on the outskirts of York, offering a hybrid working model from the outset. The Risk & Compliance Analyst position is a key role in providing support to the ChiefRisk & Compliance Officer (CRCO) in designing and delivering an appropriate and proportionate second line assurance plan, providing independent reporting and assurance to key stakeholders.

**JUST SOME OF THE DUTIES YOU WILL COVER**
- Delivering second line assurance activity in line with agreed plan, including thematic reviews and control testing against first line Risk and Control Self-Assessments
- Undertaking regular reviews of first line activity - call monitoring and file checking, contributing to the ongoing development of these areas
- Undertake regular reviews of the Company’s appointed representatives
- Producing reports on the outcomes of second line assurance activity, including recommended actions to address any weaknesses identified as part of that activity
- Tracking progress and quality of the completion of second-line actions with business owners, undertaking validation activity where necessary
- Supporting Internal Audit in the reporting, monitoring and validation of third-line actions
- Contributing to regular risk and regulatory reports on behalf of the CRCO
- Supporting the CRCO in the development and implementation of a second line assurance plan, covering all key areas of the Company’s risk and regulatory activity
- Contributing to the development, maintenance and implementation of relevant risk and compliance policies
- Contributing to the overall delivery of Risk & Compliance team objectives, supporting other areas of risk and compliance activity as required
- Managing and maintaining own knowledge of the relevant regulatory requirements, and risk management standards and best practice, producing own development plans and maintaining CPD requirements.

**THE IDEAL PERSON..**

You will have solid experience working within risk and/or compliance, preferably within the insurance sector, and proven experience undertaking assurance reviews. You will also have
- Detailed knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements
- Ability to think critically in order to analyse problems and develop effective and practical solutions, under own initiative or as part of team
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Excellent oral and written communication with excellent attention to detail
