**SEN Teaching Assistant | Barnet | September Start**

**The team at Ortus Recruitment are dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of teaching and learning is being implemented in our client schools. We are currently looking for an experienced, proactive and passionate individual to join the team at a primary school in the London Borough of Camden.**
- **SEN Learning Support Assistant responsibilities**:_
- Develop a tailored and creative program suitable for SEN children
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach SEN children
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Encourage SEN children to interact with each other and resolve occasional conflicts
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colours, do crafts etc.)
- Track children’s progress and report to parents
- Collaborate with other educators
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
- Proven experience with teaching primary-aged children
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and educational methods
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as mediator between children
- Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable

**Job Types**: Full-time, Graduate

**Salary**: £400.00-£500.00 per week
