Gis Technician

**GIS Technician**
- Our client is a global Oil & Gas Engineering business focused on offshore related projects. They are now seeking a GIS Technician for a 4-month contract._

**MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- You must manage, plan, coordinate, and execute GIS Technology related to map development, geographic data management, and spatial information distribution in accordance with the Subsea 7 Group/Enterprise R&D programme.
- You will implement Web-based GIS solutions to allow non-specialists, project stakeholders, remote sites, and clients to access data easily.
- Be in charge of obtaining and disseminating GIS expertise, recommendations, and guidance to the organisation.
- Participate in and assist corporate initiatives and activities by providing customised 2D and 3D visual geospatial and engineering representations of pertinent data and information.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Experience as GIS Technician or equivalent
- Experience using Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Able to use software packages such as Word, Excel, and AutoCAD
- Experience with industry-standard databases (e.g. SQL, Oracle)
- Experience in industry-standard data models (e.g. PODS, SSDM, APDM)
