**What are we looking for?**

We are looking for a highly motivated and driven professional to join our strategic procurement team to provide support to ALL quotations and tenders issued by the Council for externally supplied works, goods and services. You will provide crucial support to these projects to ensure they meet their goals.

This will entail the day-to-day administration of the Procurement Pipeline of contracts, e-tenders and e-quotations administered via the Councils e-tendering portal.

You will provide administrative support, guidance and know-how of the e-tendering system to the service-based colleagues involved in the procurement process.

You will set up and administer e-quotations, e-tenders and contracts register records in our e-tendering software (SEBP - ProContract) working with Procurement, Legal, Audit, Service based contract administrators and Contract Relationship Officers.

In addition you will have knowledge of the Purchase-to-Pay process to advise and guide service based staff using the Finance Management System (Unit 4) to raise and manage purchase orders. Training will be provided.

You will report to the Council’s Strategic Procurement Manager (SPM) and support the continued reshaping of the Procurement service to implement the centre led procurement model to meet the needs of a broad range of internal service units.

**About the role**

An opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Coordinator to join our busy and enthusiastic centre-led Strategic Procurement Team. This role links our procurement sourcing activity with that of operational services need from external supply chains.

You will;
- join a Procurement team consisting of a Manager, Procurement Contracts Officer, a Procurement Coordinator (this role) to support the sourcing activity, plus three (3) Contract Relationship Officers dealing with the delivery and management phases of live awarded contracts in each of our 3 Directorates.
- report to the Strategic Procurement Manager but work closely with operational staff in the administration of quotations and tenders.
- Quality check all tender documents prior to loading onto the Councils e-tendering portal (ProContract) to ensure that the input of all information in the Council’s procurement systems is accurate and maintained.
- Maintain the relationship with the Council’s suppliers who interface on e-tendering projects including support and advice to assist their use of the portal.
- To administer all questions and answers posted to the e-tendering portal and expedite responses where necessary.
- Carry out Financial Health checks via online portal as required for tender evaluation process.
- To provide advice to all business units on the Council’s e-tendering procedures.
- a background in procurement contract management and purchase-to-pay processes
- be able to demonstrate skills to think out of the box and produce sound procurement and supply advice that deliver sustainable, quality assured and value for money outcomes.
- Have a track record in procurement and supply chain management to maximise commercial outcomes and realise improvement opportunities through innovative approaches to the sourcing process.
- Experience of the Procure to pay process and ideally ‘user know-how’ of e-Tendering systems.
