**We have the position for you**

**Teaching Assistants are the core of Specialist Education Settings, and can make a real positive impact on the lives and education of children and young people.**

**The Role**
- Liaise with colleagues within the school to provide individualised support for each child/young person
- Support students who face barriers to learning including learning difficulties, SEMH needs (social, emotional, mental health needs), and physical disabilities
- Monitor and track students progress within the lessons, including any milestones they have reached in their learning.
- Have a person-centred approach to your work and provide high quality support and guidance
- To keep children/young people safe during their time at school through safeguarding and good practice

**Availability**:

- Full Time (Monday-Friday) or Part Time (3-4 days a week)
- Term Time only

**Must have**:

- An understanding of the potetnital barriers someone with additional needs may face within the education system
- Ability to work well as a team and communicate effectively with others
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Have a DBS on the Updates Service, or be willing to obtain one
- Experience supporting indivudals of any age
- Commitment to safeguarding of all students and familiarity with whistleblowing procedures
