Finance Assistant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join our finance team. Reporting into the Finance Manager you will be an up-and-coming Finance person looking to develop your career, learn new skills and grow alongside our business. We are looking for a motivated individual who can get stuck in from day one and hit the ground running.

Reporting into the Finance Manager you will be involved in a variety of finance tasks in this busy position.

**Duties will include**:

- Weekly flash reports and P&L Variances
- Assist the Finance Manager with month end reporting as required.
- Balance sheet reconciliations - analysis and review of the balance sheet.
- Record financial transactions, including journal entries, general ledger postings accruals and prepayments
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintain purchase ledger and reconciling statements for payment
- Preparation of payment runs
- Preparation of sales invoices
- Credit control and monitoring of outstanding invoices and communicating with clients to facilitate timely payments
- Correct analysis of VAT
- Upkeep and the maintenance of accurate and organised financial records
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiencies within the finance department
- Undertake ad hoc financial tasks and projects as directed by the Finance Manager

The position is on a permanent basis, 40 hours per week, Salary commensurate with experience and there are great opportunities for the right person within the group.

Please note that all positions at our company are paid, including internship positions.

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
