Senior/principal Transport Planner

**SCP**, an RSK Company are looking for a **Senior or Principal Transport Planner** to join their team of a full time **permanent** basis. This role will be based in **Manchester** and allows for **hybrid** working. You will be joining a growing team, who cares greatly about the development, training and** diversity** of their growing workforce.

Key Responsibilities
- To provide essential support for more senior personnel to ensure successful delivery of a commission
- To provide expertise and assistance in all aspects of highway engineering and/or transportation planning
- To assist senior personnel in the identification of the necessary internal and external resources and skills required to fulfil the obligations of each and every commission to the budget and timescale agreed with the client
- On those projects for which the STP acts as project manager, to ensure that the project is undertaken to the specified budget and that all project-related fees and disbursements are accurately recorded and expediently recovered
- To ensure that the company’s Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to on each and every commission.
- To have a full understanding of all the tools and techniques employed within the field of highway engineering and transportation planning

Person Specification
- Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of programs,
- Ability to use and interpret the results of Arcady, Picady, LINSIG, TRICS, AutoCAD and AutoTRACK.
- Knowledge of GIS and micro-simulation modelling tools.
- Ability to manage time and work to strict deadlines.
- Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to supervise the work of more junior staff and sub-consultants.
