**Job Title**: Multistrand Blanking Line Operator

£13.27 per hour + 15% shift allowance + £15 time keeping bonus.

**Reporting to**: Operations Manager / Works Supervisor

**Responsible for**: Producing blanks, sheets and blanks

**Knowledge/Experience Required**:
1 years’ experience operating and setting Multi strand blanking line, competence in using dimensional checking equipment: micrometer, Vernier calipers, tape measures and step block. Full understanding of quality concerns and able to follow works instructions to the letter. Must also be able to work under own initiative.

**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**
- To produce blanks, sheet and blanks using parent coils, processing to customer specific requirements.

**HEALTH &SAFETY**
- Always Adhere to the Safe systems of work and Risk Assessments laid down by Cooper and Jackson Ltd.
- Conduct safety checks and record results at the start of every shift.

**KEY FUNCTIONS CONTAINED WITHIN THE ROLE**
- Promote Cooper & Jackson Ltd Quality Policy through the continual use of quality assurance procedures, control plans, flow charts, etc.
- Use own initiative to help maintain a tidy work area with good housekeeping skills.
- Load coils to be processed as per schedule onto uncoiler.
- Set slitting head correctly and quickly to achieve best slit edges.
- Set roller leveller to ensure that processed material is flat to within customer requirements.
- Setting of the Shear Parameters.
- Setting up of the Stacking Unit.
- Use Calibrated dimensional checking equipment to carry out necessary dimensional checks and record results on Process Works Orders and Shift reports.
- Prevention of bottleneck on the Stacking Unit.
- Follow customer specific quality checks, record findings onto Process Works Orders and Shift reports.
- Inform Quality department of any defects.
- Inform Operations Manager of any concerns which may impact on the efficient running of the Multistrand Blanking Line or have Health & Safety implications.
- Any other duties that may arise in the future to assist the Operations Manager in the efficient every day running of the factory.
