Senior Estimator

**Senior Estimator - Warwick/Hybrid - £55,990 to £71,179**:

- We're looking for a Senior Estimator to join our gas construction team to manage and develop project cost estimates and be accountable for the development of the estimating methodology and defining the associated level of confidence. You'll work with the project team to establish the project scope and identify gaps in the available information that's essential for project cost estimation and risk.- You'll define what's needed to improve the quality of the available data for the purpose of producing more robust estimates and challenge the available detail and obtain the relevant missing information to develop the assumptions, track progress and manage the relevant governance reviews and sign-offs.- This position will report directly to the Cost Manager and manage a team of Estimators. You'll manage and undertake the major projects that are highly complex and high profile and manage the processes and procedures for estimation. Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for this role as you'll be liaising with both internal and external senior level stakeholders. You'll also be technical expert in estimation methodologies.- For this role, you'll need to have estimating experience in the utilities industry and have the ability to interpret technical and cost information. Previous experience in running workshops is important.- You'll hold a degree level qualification (or equivalent) in either civils, mechanical or electrical engineering, and be a chartered engineer or be working towards becoming a chartered engineer.- It would also be great if you understand engineering terms and have sound analytical and technical data skills. Construction experience and knowledge is also required for this role.- As part of our hybrid working approach, this role offers a mix of office working in Warwick and home working.
