**Lovania Nurseries Limited** is within the UK’s top 15 Growers supplying Supermarkets and Garden Centres on a national scale. We have a very exciting opportunity now open for anyone who has a passion for growing and wants to develop a career within the Horticultural industry. We wish to recruit an **Junior Grower **to join the very successful team. The individual will be joining a very stable and successful family business with a rich heritage built over 4 generations of growing.

The role involves the growing a variety of plants including bedding and alpines across 20+ acres of varying production facilities. Daily duties will be focused on the growth of the plants, including monitoring, irrigation and feed management.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Work as part of a team to ensure excellent plant health
- Crop watering
- Communicate cultural or plant issues to management immediately
- Involved in troubleshooting crop issues and diagnosis of unknown health or damage problems
- Learn specifications for each crop
- Follow growing schedules set by management
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Working pattern**
- Work weekends on a rota basis
- Standard hours are 40 hours (07:00 - 16:00) per week with additional working during peak season, Feb-June, dependent on age

The role is available as an apprenticeship studying Horticulture Level 2/3 at Myerscough College.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

**Salary**: £5.28-£10.42 per hour
