The Import/Export Specialist is responsible for the day to day import/export execution involved in order fulfilment including document compliance, arrangement of carriers and documentation accuracy for the company’s inbound and outbound shipments from the United States. This role will also encompass imports into the United Kingdom in conjunction with the Trade Compliance department. The Import/Export Specialist will follow the company’s international trade compliance policies, global logistics policy, and quality initiatives in all activities. This role will report to the Manager of Trade Compliance. The position will perform the responsibilities detailed below and other duties as assigned.

**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure Entrust shipments are exported in accordance to UK trade regulations- Create required documents for the export shipments in a timely manner- Determine what documentation is required based on destination and prepare documents for UK export- Partner with and advise Global Customer Service, Order Management, Plexus, subsidiaries, Transportation Manager, warehouse, distribution hubs, in-house trucking, freight forwarders and couriers to ensure on-time delivery.- Ensure that Oracle deliveries are closed in a timely manner and freight charges are correctly allocated and/or billed- Ensure proper product valuation for UK import and customs requirements- Determine any documentation or back up data UK customs requires for import shipments and obtain from within the organization- Update UK customs broker with current product HTS codes and product descriptions- Solve any import customs issues as they arise- Prepare Open orders report for Supplier monitoring and ensure commit dates are met; follow-up on past due orders- Coordinate with global Logistics for tracking and tracing of international shipments- Communicate to key stakeholders any changes in delivery schedule including new ship dates and what mitigation steps are being taken- Ensure that Oracle deliveries are closed in a timely manner.- Interact on an ongoing basis with internal and external parties including Procurement, Parts Planning, Pricing, Warehouse Operations, Transport, Vendors, Carriers, Compliance, etc.- Ensure 100% compliance with all import, export and transport rules and regulations.- Coordinate with the Credit Department to provide timely input as well as verify and prepare shipping document requirements on the Letter of Credit.- Maintain recordkeeping for United Kingdom, export shipments in compliance with the Export Administration Regulations as well as Entrust ISO and quality practices.- Work with global regions to obtain Carnet’s for Trade Shows and Demo shipments.

Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in International Customer Service and/or Import/Export Logistics-
- Familiarity with United Kingdom customs compliance requirements and export documentation- Demonstrated Inco terms acumen including thorough understanding of the Inco terms and their relationships with freight terms- Experience working with International Freight Forwarders, small pack couriers- Legally able to work in the United Kingdom unrestricted.
