Psychology Associates is an independent practice of passionate and committed professionals. Due to further expansion, we have another vacancy for a Wellbeing Practitioner / Counsellor to join our Multidisciplinary Team, working with either/both children and adults.

Professional development and wellbeing are an essential and highly valued aspect of working for Psychology Associates. We actively support the continuous development and wellbeing of all our staff. Our experienced team provide a high level of support and supervision. Support includes training in a variety of models and approaches including Attachment Theory and Therapeutic Parenting.

**Duties include**:

- Providing therapeutic support, using a wide range of models, to clients (predominantly young people and families) of Psychology Associates.
- Provide therapeutic support to pupils within educational settings
- Working closely with other clinical staff members of our Multidisciplinary team to ensure clients are provided the best support
- Maintaining openness about issues of confidentiality and consent, care standards, complaints procedures and evaluative methods with families and other professionals.
- Developing clinical reports and correspondence for review by supervisor.
- Liaising closely with other professional agencies involved in an individual’s care as appropriate.
- Contributing to the training and support of other staff.
- Assisting in the design and implementation of service development projects within the practice as required.
- Undertaking appropriate research and literature reviews.

**Essential qualifications, knowledge and experience include**:

- Undergraduate psychology degree accredited by the BPS or other qualification in a therapeutic model recognised/accredited by a relevant professional body (e.g. Theraplay, Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).
- Knowledge of structures, processes and policy within the mental health sector and/or education sector.
- Understanding of Safeguarding and personal responsibilities.
- Experiences of delivering therapeutic intervention within a specific framework/model/approach.

Pay: £33,500.00-£36,500.00 per year

Expected hours: 22.5 - 35 per week
