**HR Manager - Maternity cover**

**Contract length**:5 months - from 1st April to 31st August 2024.

**Location**: Middleton, Greater Manchester. Hybrid working - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home

**Salary**:Paying up to £37k pro rata plus 15% bonus paid quarterly. Plus £1k Retention bonus if the person stays to end of the contract

**HR Manager role overview**:
Looking for an experienced HR Manager or HR Advisor with strong Employee Relations (ER) experience to join the team. If you love ER and are used to working in a fast-paced environment, then we would be keen to speak to you.

Reporting into the HR Business Partner, you will support the business in delivering improved business performance in line with Company policy and current employment legislation. You will provide advice, guidance, and support to our management team in respect of ER matters and coaching to enable them to deal with ER directly.

The role involves supporting a high volume of employee relations cases so you must be comfortable working in that environment.

**Duties of the HR Manager**:

- Assisting the business in improving business performance by co-ordinating the organisations’ performance improvement process by advising managers and driving each case through to conclusion.
- Case management of absence cases throughout the business, including absence reporting and monitoring, and providing solutions to improve overall attendance.
- Ensuring all investigations, disciplinary and grievances are resolved in a timely fashion with appropriate records being documented and maintained.
- Case management of any tribunal claims, working with legal team.
- Regular review and updating of all key HR policies and procedures in line with business changes and legal requirements.
- Analyse HR MI on a regular basis and make recommendations for improvement to the business.
- Ongoing maintenance of all electronic personal files, HR data and records.
- Undertake critical data preparation tasks ahead of the running of key HR processes or transactions.
- Respond swiftly to queries to procure HR data and management information requested by line Managers.
- Supporting HR assistants in their development
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with the management teams and wider HR team

**General Requirements for the HR Manager**:

- CIPD qualification, at membership level (level 7)
- Solid employment law knowledge, in particular around ER casework
- At least 1 years experience in managing a high volume of ER cases
- Commercial
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of using IT systems for people activities.
- An understanding of the detail and the bigger picture
- To be a cultural role model who works for the good of the organisation.
- Strong relationship building skills
- A team-focused approach
- Excellent analytical skills
