SNC-Lavalin’s Atkins UK&E Infrastructure business covers all aspects of advisory and multidisciplinary design and management from inception to options appraisal through to detailed scheme design and delivery support.

We are seeking a Proposal Coordinator to support our teams to win more work across all markets in our Infrastructure business. Working within the dedicated Infrastructure Win Work network the Proposal Coordinator will engage with our Senior Proposal Managers, Market and Client Directors, Practice Directors and Practice Managers, Creative Design, and the Global Technology Centre (GTC) to deliver our business-critical portfolio, raising overall ‘Win Work’ standards across the business and driving efficiency through increased use of the GTC.

The role will require the development of key relationships across the Atkins business to enable Bid Directors and Bid Managers to perform to their maximum. The Proposal Coordinator will have the ability to tailor their skills, strengths, and workload to supplement and support as appropriate, engendering a team approach.

We’re looking for that special combination of skills and experience that make for a good sales manager. We need the planner & project manager, communicator, analyst, and completer finisher with an eye for detail. **Role requirements**:

- Track record of leading successful PQQ and SQ submissions on both strategic and regional opportunities.
- Experience of structured bid processes, e.g., Miller Heiman Blue Sheets and Shipley bid process, and using these consistently to drive high quality submissions (desirable).
- Demonstrable experience at proposal coordinator level demonstrating the delivery of successful outcomes.
- Demonstrable coordination of multi-disciplinary teams to deliver winning bids (PQQs and ITTs) on time.
- Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and presentational.
- Some commercial awareness / understanding (desirable).
- Ability to undertake tasks within demanding timescales.
- Commitment to quality and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexibly by hours and location as each opportunity may require.
- Ability to produce concise, compelling narrative for PQQs and SQ submissions.
- Maintain bid library of previous responses for the division.

**Role responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with Market Directors, Client Directors, Creative Design, Practice Directors, Practice Managers, Senior Proposal Managers and the GTC in establishing, monitoring, and tracking of client relationships and opportunities, bid progress and use of all Sales Excellence principles.
- Working with the BDD to ensure adoption of the latest techniques and tools in the delivery of successful bids.
- Tracking, monitoring and management of tender portals and frameworks.
- Upload bid / PQQ / SQ submissions via the client’s portal in a timely manner.
- Development of organisation charts, CVs and case studies for bid submissions.
- Ability to write concise and compelling responses for inclusion in PQQs and/or SQs submissions.
- Support Bid Managers, Bid Directors, Senior Proposal Managers and Proposal Managers in the delivery of their own submissions.
- Create and manage SharePoint sites and MS Teams sites for bid activities.
- Ensure compliance with Atkins’ procedures and the development and adoption of best practice.
- Proactive involvement in the development and implementation of initiatives to improve the quality and cost effectiveness, system compliance and success of PQQs/SQs.

**The Individual**:

- A proven track record of successfully delivering both strategic and regional PQQs / SQs.
- A result orientated, inspiring, hard-working, and flexible coordinator who works well as part of any bid team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate well at all levels and in all forums from one-to-ones through to group workshops.
- Great influencing skills so that the expert knowledge they hold is maximised on each opportunity they work on.
- A mobile and flexible individual available to manage and to deliver to time schedules driven by clients and travel across the UK as the ‘Win Work’ situation demands.
- Ability to maximise the use of tools such as Office365, InDesign, MS Project, MS Dynamics CRM, and industry recognised sales techniques such as Miller Heiman.
- Degree level and equivalent professional qualifications (desirable).
