Nursling, United Kingdom South Central Ambulance Service Full time

Within SCAS we have been successfully rotating our Specialist Practitioners into primary care environments for the last five years and we are one of the first ambulance trusts to do so.

NHS England have announced additional funding to support additional roles in Primary Care, one of which is a Paramedic FCP. Health Education England (HEE) have published the development roadmap for the FCP role (see documents).

SCAS are working closely with our local partners in Primary Care Networks, Training Hubs and Integrated Care System (ICS) to promote the system wide development of FCPs allowing staff to:

- **Gain more knowledge and skills; to provide better patient care & experience**
- **Develop their clinical career**
- **Opportunity to achieve a suitable work-life balance**
- **Work across a variety of settings**
- **Do all of this with one employer and maintain the benefits of working in the NHS**
- **Stage 1 & 2 - Paramedic First Contact Practitioners in Primary Care**:

- **Once the competencies have been met, you will become registered with the Centre of Advancing Practice, where you will be eligible for Band 7 status.**:

- **Rotational working partnerships across primary & emergency care - front line operations
