Transport Supervisor
Location: Edinburgh
Working Schedule: Monday - Friday 39.5 hours

**Salary**: £25,000 + Bonus

The Role

To manage operational facilities and manage and develop all aspects of the transport function, in line with legal requirements and company standards of performance. Around 20% of the role will be around transport related duties and 80% will be as a warehouse operative

Key Responsibilities
- Manage company vehicles (fleet of 6 x 7.5T vans) and the requirements of the business continuity plan
- Ensure all vehicles and drivers conform to relevant health and safety and Road Traffic legislation, including the downloads of tacho cards
- Keep on top of vehicle maintenance planner for all vehicles to ensure all scheduled maintenance is considered and completed with any defects correctly reported and repaired
- Ensure the process for route planning and vehicle loading is appropriate, optimised and suggest improvements where possible
- Advise management team on the interpretation and likely impact of developments in relevant legislation and best practice
- Managing all drivers in terms of their driver scorecard KPIs, PDA compliance and annual reviews
- Ensure the warehouse and yard are kept clean and tidy at all times, that spillages are promptly cleared and waste minimised.
- Place goods correctly into storage bays. Ensure that stock is stored to allow safe storage, lifting and lowering
- Assist in loading vehicles, working with the driver to ensure compliance with all legal requirements on vehicle loading.

**Requirements**:
People management experience (essential)
CPC (desirable), if not will be given opportunity to study
Driving experience (desirable)
Full UK Driving Licence
