**About The Role**:
**Pastoral Administrator**

**Job Ref: XS8.4b Administrative Officer**

**Dorset Grade 6 SCP 6-9 £12.39-£13.02 per hour**

**Monday-Friday 9am-4pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch (32.5 hrs per week)**

**Flexibility on later start each day and earlier finish Monday-Wednesday**

**Term time only plus staff training days**

We require a Pastoral Administrator to start as soon as possible.

You will provide administrative support to the Pastoral team. The ability to remain calm, professional with a cheerful disposition is an important requirement for this post.

The post is not working directly with students, but does involve interaction with students.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

- Pastoral administration to support the school reward and behaviour systems.
- Supporting in the running of Pastoral Triage desk
- To undertake general office duties (answering phones, booking appointments and completion of forms, photocopying etc), use of Parentmail, collating and generating reports and facilitating requests.
- Use of OneDrive to coordinate support, meetings etc.
- To provide administrative support to the Pastoral Team.

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Good telephone manner with a calm and friendly disposition.
- The post requires a high degree of interpersonal, organisation and communication including initiative, flexibility, diplomacy and discretion together with a professional approach.
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office programs with relevant experience of office work.
- Confidence in spreadsheet work.
- Able to work accurately, under own initiative for short periods of time and to work in an organised and flexible manner.
- Be able to multi-task, prioritise and work under pressure.
- Ability to work as part of a team.

**Further Information**:
Thepro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked andincludes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements.

The salaryquoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salarywill be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start ofemployment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure thecorrect salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.
