Persona are offering an exciting opportunity for an apprentice support worker to join our Short Stay service. The prime aim of the short stay unit is to support the people who use our service to achieve their goals and wishes. We are committed to providing a person-centered approach in all aspects of care while enabling people to make their own choices in how they want to live their best life on a day to day basis.

About you

You will be a flexible person with a can-do attitude, who also shares our values. You will have an ability to develop positive relationships with people and be passionate in supporting people to reach their full potential.

You will be at least 16 years of age, and not already undertaking a full time qualification.

The purpose of an apprenticeship is to learn whilst on the job, so this is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in adult social care.

You don’t need any previous qualifications or social care experience, but you will be someone who:

- has a passion for learning
- enjoys a challenge
- is willing to work as part of a team
- is committed, motivated and hardworking

As well as supporting you to achieve a Level 2 Health and Social Care Qualification, Persona will also enable you to gain knowledge and skills in:

- enablement
- customer service and communication
- IT skills
- team working skills

About the role

As an apprentice support worker you will be responsible for supporting adults who use the service either on a one to one basis or in groups, and will work closely with all members of the team to ensure that appropriate support is provided to all people using the Short Stay service and that the associated paperwork is completed accurately.
