**Kitchen Porter - Queens Park Community School**

**There are three basic ingredients for this role;**

- ** The people** - Happy customers always come back for more, so we expect you ensure they have an excellent customer experience.
- ** And you** - We are recruiting for an enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our positive and professional team.

**About The Role And Benefits;**
- 25 Hours a week
- £10.42 per hour
- Monday - Friday
- 9am - 2pm

**Responsibilities And Duties;**
- Service and cleanliness will be a top priority for you. There’s washing up and cleaning the kitchen and equipment to Pabulum’s high standards to create a kitchen to be proud of.
- You’ll ensure that pots and cooking utensils are clean and properly stored away.
- Make our cutlery trays are clean and the cutlery shine.
- Once everything is clean, you’ll ensure the dishwasher is empty and clean and any rubbish is taken away.
- You will assist with the setting out of tables and chairs for meal service and be responsible for the clearing away of restaurant furniture as required.
- You will help with receiving deliveries and storing them away correctly, ensuring stock is rotated properly.
- You’ll alert the manager of any shortages in delivery.
- There will be other kitchen and catering duties which may be considered necessary for the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen, service area and restaurant.

**About you;**
- Catering experience is desirable but we’re always happy to train the right person
- You’ll need to be friendly and approachable and able to build relationships with our clients and regular customers.
- Loyalty and flexibility together with a passion for food is a must.
- You’ll get essential training on Food Hygiene and Health & Safety and there’s plenty of opportunity to further your career.
- Present yourself in a professional, in the correct Pabulum uniform, which includes a name badge.

As you will be working in Education, you must provide two employment/character references and we’ll also carry out an Enhanced DBS / Criminal Record Check as well (which we’ll pay for).
