We are currently searching for a **Assistant Garment Technologist **to join the team.

As the Assistant Garment Technologist your focus will be to support a technical team of 3 under the supervision of the Senior Garment Technologist in all essential tasks to ensure the department runs smoothly whilst learning to manage your own product area.

Working closely with Production and Product Development you will provide technical support for the business on the development and production of our products. Some experience in men’s and or womenswear as well as fabric testing would be beneficial however training will be provided. This is a fantastic role to gain technical experience within a heritage brand.

**We are looking for someone who will be responsible for**:

- Sample management; receiving, booking in and organising samples, maintaining the sample tracker
- Creating size specs and measuring samples
- Supporting during fit meetings
- Supporting on vendor feedback; creating diagrams and photo editing
- Manage bulk pilot and pre-shipment sample assessments
- Collate quality control reports and record vendor performance
- Support on analysing fabric test reports
- Assist on arranging wear trials and perform fabric and garment testing
- Raising and checking purchase orders for samples
- Arranging national and international courier parcels
- Ad hoc tasks as required
- You may be required to undertake such further duties as your skills, qualifications and experience allow and/or as may be assigned to you by the Company from time to time._

**We are looking for someone who has**:

- 1-2 years experience in a similar role in either mens or womenswear
- Basic pattern cutting and fitting knowledge
- Preferably a relevant Technical oriented degree
- Knowledge of garment construction
- Knowledge of fabric testing
- Understanding of reading specification sheets and good knowledge of measuring garments
- Good time-management and organisation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Practical knowledge of Excel, Adobe Illustrator.
- Experience with PLM system and Gerber would be advantageous.
