Major Orthopaedic Scrub

**Job Summary**: We are recruiting for a Major Orthopaedic Scrub - Lower Limb (Hips + Knees) (ODP) on a temporary basis for our client, Circle Health Group, at their King's Park Hospital. This is a full-time position working from 07:30:00 to 18:00:00, with payment of £572.67 per shift. This temporary post is initially available from 26/11/2023 to 26/11/2023, with possible extension depending on performance and client requirements.
**Duties and Responsibilities**: As a Major Orthopaedic Scrub - Lower Limb (Hips + Knees) (ODP), you will be responsible for:

- Working in the operating theatre to assist the surgeon during procedures, including setting up equipment, providing the necessary instruments and sterilising and preparing the operating theatre
- Assisting with patient positioning, draping and equipment set-up
- Ensuring that all supplies and medications are accurately prepared and correctly labelled
- Performing correct patient identification and equipment check procedures
- Maintaining a high level of professionalism and providing excellent customer service to all customers
- Ensuring that all documentation is accurately and timely entered into the patient's records
- Ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained after each procedure
- Assisting senior staff in maintaining a safe working environment within the operating theatre
- Any other duties as requested by senior staff
- Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner qualification
- Excellent surgical and clinical knowledge
