*This is a maternity cover FTC that will be between 12 -18 months.*

The PizzaExpress Group boasts a global presence, with operations spanning the UK & Ireland, Hong Kong, and the UAE, as well as international franchises. Our Group Finance function serves as the central consolidation and review hub, collaborating closely with all Business Units to provide critical financial oversight. As the Head of Group Finance, you will work hand-in-hand with the Group CFO and local Business Unit Heads of Finance to deliver strategic financial guidance that shapes the future of our business.

**Key Responsibilities**:
As the Group Head of Finance, your contributions will make a significant impact on the organisation. Here are the key accountabilities you will oversee:

- Directly support the Group CFO by handling Group corporate matters, including reporting to debt and equity investors and addressing ad hoc queries
- Lead the development of your team (2 people) nurturing both direct and indirect reports
- Take charge of all internal Group financial reporting, ensuring accurate and insightful reporting to the Group Board of Directors
- Own external Group financial reporting, orchestrating the production of the Annual Report and Quarterly Interim Report, along with investor presentations
- Act as the primary liaison for Group auditors, providing expertise on significant risk areas and judgmental accounting policies
- Function as the Business Owner for the Group's consolidation system, FCCS, managing external support and becoming an internal system expert
- Implement, maintain, and report on a risks register for the UK & Ireland Business Unit
- Collaborate with the FP&A team to deliver reported financial data for all Group business units, contributing to forecasting models

**What you’ll need**:

- Qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant with substantial technical accounting proficiency and strong PQE experience
- Exceptional grasp of technical accounting principles, notably complex consolidation with multi-currency inputs
- Experience within a global business environment, either as a direct employee or consultant
- Comprehensive working knowledge of Oracle FCCS would be extremely desirable
- Proven track record of managing the relationship with external auditors and overseeing the year-end audit process
- Unyielding commitment to high standards and a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic business landscape
- Exceptional influencing skills, with the capacity to adapt communication styles across diverse cultures
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with JDE would be advantageous
- Exposure to similar businesses, whether in the private equity or multi-site cash-based sector
- Previous experience in interacting with Board-level stakeholders
