Our client is looking for a Transition Co-ordinator. In your role, you will liaise with the necessary parties and come up with a plan to organise the lab, this will increase productivity making you an essential part of the machine that is Avantor.

Working hours: Monday-Friday 8-4 with some flexibility

Location: Macclesfield SK10

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the exit of a workplace risk assessment and process during the relocation of the service and will liaise with AstraZeneca and other service providers to achieve this, as well as the wider Avantor team
- You will be hands-on in leading 5S activities and lean improvements in the laboratory to optimise ways of working in order to ensure business as usual can be maintained during the transition at the Alderley Park site
- You will support the Research Services Manager in the making of process improvements and completing actions from weekly Gemba walks
- You will be responsible for ensuring that any laboratory equipment or consumables no longer required are dealt with in accordance with sustainability targets
- You will also looks for alternatives to consumables used in order to meet cost saving targets.

Experience Required
- The ability to work off your own initiative without waiting for direction or constant supervision
- Excellent communication skills are essential in this position as you will be liaising with different members of the team to give updates
- Experience working in a hands-on environment is also very beneficial in this position as a lot of the work you will be doing will be operational
- Organisational skills are essential for this role as you will be changing the labs current layout, it will need to be kept in order.
