We are currently looking for a Funeral Director / Trainee Funeral Director to join our compassionate team on a full-time basis.

**The Role**

As the Funeral Director / Trainee Funeral Director, you will provide an exceptional standard of service to the families we care for.

With the support of our management team, you will arrange and oversee funerals for all religions and denominations, as well as non-religious ceremonies or civil ceremonies.

We support families during an incredibly difficult time in their lives, so compassion, a high level of professionalism and a flexible approach are essential. We are available at any hour, to provide assistance, advice or removals to our Chapel of Rest.

Your duties will include:

- Supervising the funeral team during a funeral, including preparations.
- Ensuring the smooth running, tidiness and cleanliness of the workshop, mortuary and garage areas
- Acting as a driver/bearer
- Taking part in out-of-hours duties when required

**About You**

To join us as a Funeral Director / Trainee Funeral Director, you will need:

- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High levels of patience and the ability to work well under pressure
- A certificate or diploma in Funeral Service (or the willingness to study towards this)
- GCSEs (or equivalent), ideally including Maths and English
- A full driving licence

Previous experience in the hospitality, event management or travel sectors would be beneficial.

Working hours: 8:30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday (with some weekends and evenings as part of an on-call rota)
