We currently seeking two individuals to join us as Trainee Asbestos Surveyors. This is an exciting role for someone with building / trades knowledge to train and gain experience in a new field. Working closely with a qualified Asbestos Surveyor, you’ll learn all about delivering a highly professional service focusing on actively managing asbestos across the property portfolio. Once qualified, Asbestos Surveyors are expected to support the maintenance of the asbestos management systems, carry out all types of asbestos surveys and provide general advice on asbestos related issues.

**This is an important role in which you will support the Asbestos Surveyor in**:

- Carrying out asbestos surveys in order to allow maintenance and investment works to be completed
- Validating asbestos information provided by internal surveyors and external consultants
- Developing the company’s Asbestos Register
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation including the Control of Asbestos Regulations
- Providing technical support on the management of asbestos data

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Have experience of working within a trades role - ideally with a recognised trades qualification (or equivalent)
- Be willing to study P402 Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in buildings and potentially P405 Management of Asbestos in buildings
- Have in depth knowledge of health and safety legislation relevant to property maintenance and construction
- Be highly organised and able to plan and prioritise your workload effectively
- Be able to develop strong working relationships and partnerships
- Demonstrate experience of improving and driving working practices to deliver consistency and efficiency
- Must have Driving License and access to own vehicle in order to travel between sites.
