Set in the heart of the Cotswolds, this Fairford business requires a qualified Financial Controller to manage all aspects of their finances. Offering great benefits and hybrid working and operating in a particularly interesting sector, this is going to appealto a technically astute and hands-on qualified accountant who would enjoy working in an SME.

Some of the responsibilities for the Financial Controller will include:

- Leading the preparation of the monthly management accounts and draft annual accounts
- Acting as the key point of contact for external auditors
- Managing the budgeting and reforecasting processes
- Responsibility for banking and cash flow
- Control of internal financial processes and identifying areas for improvement
- Producing analysis based on certain metrics and KPIs
- Preparation of VAT returns, HMRC tax returns, PAYE returns and Companies House returns
- Management of insurances and pension scheme administration
- Oversight of payroll information prior to submission to payroll service provider

We'd like you be a qualified accountant with sound knowledge of the areas above. You will have a strong technical accounting background and good IT skills, coupled with the ability to juggle a number of different priorities, as is the way in SMEs. You'llhave a great eye for detail, excellent communication skills and the necessary judgement to deal with areas of ambiguity.
