**Business Analyst**

**Crewe (hybrid 1-2 days a week in office)**

**18 months**

**Pay Rate: Circa £450 Outside IR35**

**About the role**:

- Conducting effective analysis to clarify, define or evaluate data business problems, opportunities or requirements for change in a manner which supports the identification of solutions that deliver value to the business.
- Ensure all requirements are documented, organised and prioritised appropriately and they can be easily understood by all stakeholders
- Challenge business requirements where appropriate to ensure that solutions developed are viable within the operating environment and are focused on delivering the anticipated benefits.

**Key Deliverables**:

- Effectively plan and deliver analysis utilising an appropriate and agreed approach and deliver analysis outputs on time and to the agreed quality
- Ensure all requirements (functional and non-functional) and business processes (as-is and to-be) are accurately and appropriately documented, organised and prioritised and they can be easily understood by all stakeholders.
- Ensure requirements are fit for purpose throughout the lifecycle of the project and they are kept aligned to the required business outcomes. Any changes to requirements should be completed in a timely and controlled fashion and are to be signed off by theappropriate parties.
- Validate proposed technical solution designs and test approaches to ensure alignment with requirements and business needs.
- Identify and validate solutions and ensure business and financial impacts are assessed appropriately and benefits can be tracked
- Conduct organisational readiness assessments where required
- Contribute to the production of investigations / feasibility studies as required.
- Contribute to the identification of benefits and also risks which may impact delivery of change.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Proven business analysis skills applied in work environment.
- Experience of working within a structured project environment.
- Excellent influencing, negotiation, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Experienced and confident in report writing techniques, facilitating workshops and delivering presentations to senior managers
- Logical, analytical mind set & good attention to detail.
- Excellent problem solving and ability to understand and interpret complex business issues and processes.
- Excellent analytical and numeracy skills
- Experience of working to time, cost, quality objectives.
- Innovative and creative thinking
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Experience of waterfall project delivery methodologies (PRINCE2 or equivalent)
- Experience of agile methodologies (Agile, SCRUM etc)
- Experience in using Agile tools such as Jira / Confluence
- Knowledge of change management methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma)
- Range of core analytical techniques & methods including: Impact Mapping; Wireframes; Features (user stories) ; Business process modelling ; Data flow modelling; Use-cases ; SWOT analysis; Cost/benefit analysis
