Arriva Traincare have an exciting opportunity for a Crossing Keeper Team Leader to join the team based at our Crewe depot. You will be responsible for managing a team of crossing keepers to ensure safe, compliant operation and control of the crossing access gates to Arriva TrainCare depot in conjunction with the Network Rail Signaller.
A fantastic opportunity to enter Arriva TrainCare on a permanent contract with great additional benefits including pension, life and healthcare cover, Arriva Travel Pass, Cycle to Work scheme and Arriva Village retailer discount scheme.
The hours of work will be a rotating shift pattern of 05:00 - 13:00 with a salary of £22,085.86
**What will the role of Crossing Keeper Team Leader entail?**
- Supporting the crossing keepers to ensure they are qualified to place Possession Limit Boards (PLB) on each side of the road.
- Ensure crossing keepers are trained to record times on the occurrence sheet when permission is given to unlock and open the gates
- Ensuring team members are signing on and off duty
- Ensuring the team report faults with the infrastructure to the signaller and recording fault numbers.
- Complete all necessary documentation and paperwork related to any tasks that are carried out.
**What will I need to become a Crossing Keeper Team Leader?**
- Good standard of education
- Previous level crossing experience is desirable
- Good understanding of health and safety
- Involvement of railway environment safety is beneficial
