A permanent opening at Drayton Manor for a Maintenance Assistant working any 5 days out of 7. You’ll be fundamental in ensuring the hotel is safe and presentable for staff and guests. You will work alongside and will report into your Maintenance Manager undertaking routine and preventative maintenance as instructed striving to prevent and resolve any issues which could affect our guest experience. Our resort is home to a 15-acre zoo, 4-star hotel with 150 bedrooms to include Viking and Thomas Land themed rooms, conference facilities, restaurants, Europe’s only Thomas Land, 50 rides and growing

**Your responsibilities as a Maintenance Assistant will include but not limited to;**
- Performing all routine preventative and curative maintenance
- Maintaining a broad knowledge which enables you to handle minor problems in all areas of the department to include basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical and decoration
- Completion of daily reports outlining works undertaken, preventative measures and outcome
- Supporting all departments with recycling methods
- Carrying out regular inspections
- Attending to repairs and maintenance for the hotel premises including any new additions and extensions or properties belonging to our resort

**Key Skills and attributes as a Maintenance Assistant**
- You will be able to demonstrate general building and handyman experiences
- Ideally you will have an industry recognised qualification
- You will be a strong communicator able to work to timelines
- Will have worked in a similar role
