**About the Role**

We currently have an exciting vacancy within our Kindle team to enable us to continue to build on our success and also bring new experience, knowledge

and ideas into the team. The Kindle service adopts the No Wrong Door model, working with children and their families on the Edge of Care to support children

to remain living with their families. The role includes working within a children’s home and working with children who live in the community with their families.

The aim of the service is to support children to remain at home and to support those who enter care to be able to return home as quickly as possible. The

service provides a range of interventions within a defined culture and intervention practice model and implements solution focussed and restorative

approach.

The core purpose of this role is to proactively provide the support and interventions to children, young people and their families so that they can achieve the best possible outcomes in life, whilst remaining in a family setting.

The post holder will be responsible for the direct day-to-day care of children and young people within a residential home accompanied by other supportive tasks and duties and provide support to children and young people on the edge of care, including care leavers (including post 18).

The post holder will work within the defined culture of the No Wrong Door /Kindle model and will adopt a solution focussed and restorative approach.

**Statutory Requirements**

To operate within the spirit and framework of the children Act 1989, National Minimum Standards, Children’s Homes Regulations and Safeguarding frameworks.

**About you**

Your style and approach will reflect our values and behaviours: you will be committed to continually learning & improving the way you do things to ensure effective outcomes.

You’ll also be able to demonstrate experience in managing and developing staff, alongside leadership abilities and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

You will need to have substantial experience of working with children and young people aged 10 to 18 years and their families. Significant experience of working in a residential setting on a shift basis and experience and resilience in working with children and young people with complex behaviours.

You will need to be qualified to RQF/QCF Level 3 Diploma Health & Social Care, Children & Young People’s Workforce Diploma Level 3 or equivalent.
