**Salary**: £24,000.00 per annum
**Hours per week**: 38.5 hours - 4 on 4 off shift pattern including Saturday & Sunday
**Start Time**: 06:00am
**Start date**: ASAP

**Primary role**:Working to a rolling 4 days on and 4 days off schedule to carry out daily tasks in line with the contract specification to the highest standard and to maintain equipment on a daily basis

**Key Responsibilities**
- Carry out the street cleansing activity across the Eden district
- To work alone or as part of a team as otherwise directed.
- Perform duties in an efficient and effective manner that will ensure maximum productivity.
- Ensure that the tasks are completed to schedule, and report any discrepancies immediately to your Working Foreman or Supervisor.
- Report defects of any kind or damage to your Supervisor.
- At the start of each shift and prior to leaving the depot, check your equipment to ensure it is in good condition and exchange damaged or worn-out items.
- Clean Vehicle on a daily basis and maintain as per the vehicle specification.
- To ensure that all accidents that occur during the shift are reported fully to your Foreman/Manager, to the Police if appropriate and that accident reports are completed before you leave work.
- To maintain a courteous and professional relationship with members of the public, client staff and colleagues.
- Responsible for the emptying of litter bins and general street cleansing activity across the district as per the street cleansing schedule or as otherwise directed by your Supervisor / Manager.
- To work a rolling 4 days on and 4 days off working pattern including weekends and bank holidays
- Able to work on other duties as and when necessary to provide a good working relation with our partner during Winter months.

**Essential Characteristics**:

- Hold the relevant Driving licence with categories for type of vehicle used
- Good Timekeeping.
- Displays a can do attitude
- Ability to develop good relationship with Clients and Colleagues.
- Good command of English.
- Ability to deliver high levels of Customer Service.
- Gets the job done to a high standard

**Desirable Characteristics**:

- Local knowledge of area.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Be keen to undertake personnel development.
- Attention to detail.
- A team player.
- Have a basic knowledge of Health & Safety and have the ability to follow health & Safety procedures.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £24,000.00 per year

- Weekend availability

- Driving: 2 years (preferred)
