Job overview

Your main job responsibilities will be to** **support EBME in day to day activities including Acceptance testing and Pre planned maintenance of medical devices. Locate and test devices allocated and liaise with stakeholders to access areas required.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be a member of a multi-disciplined team of Engineers, Engineering Technicians, Library and Clerical staff, providing a medical equipment management service across the Trust. Your duties include (but are not limited to): assisting with and/or performing acceptance testing and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of allocated electro-medical equipment. The equipment will consist of items such as nebulisers, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) units, temperature monitors, etc.

Once appropriately trained and deemed competent you may be expected to work for short periods unsupervised. The post holder will be required to communicate information to healthcare staff and suppliers in a clear and concise manner.
