**OPPORTUNITY**
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our IT team as an IT Helpdesk Apprentice.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To be the first point of contact for customers requiring help from the IT Department
- To ensure that any requests are logged with the relevant information on the IT helpdesk
- To help configure or repair and deploy equipment ready for employee use
- To perform standard daily checks to ensure that all systems are available for use and escalate where there are issues
- Ensure IT stock is kept tidy and assist with disposal of old equipment and consumables in a professional manner
- To provide excellent customer service at all times
**SKILLS / EXPERIENCE**
**ESSENTIAL**
- Display initiative, be positive and enthusiastic
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills
- Excellent administrative skills
- Be a team player but also work well independently
- Demonstrate commitment to equality and diversity, customer service, and quality assurance
- Demonstrate a commitment to the process of continuous review and improvement
- Flexible approach to working times in line with the business needs
**DESIRABLE**
- National 5 in English and Maths, with additional IT skills and qualifications
