**Functional area**: Finance / Controlling

Based in Swindon, UK, you will be responsible, and be the main contact, for Compliance of RWE’s Renewables business in the UK and Ireland. Your role involves regular interaction with Directors and senior management and a comprehensive range of duties in supporting the business and ensuring measures are in place to align with and adhere to the RWE Group Compliance Management System. In this role you will report directly to the global Head of Compliance of RWE’s Renewables business.

**Your future plans**
- Manage the Compliance practice of RWE’s Renewables business in the UK and Ireland, provide Compliance guidance to the business
- Steer and contribute to a range of multidisciplinary projects (including M&A), responsibly engage with commercial and support functions as key stakeholder to deliver holistic and streamlined advice to the business on topics such as anti-money-laundering and anti-corruption and thereby contribute to the overall business strategy
- Develop and implement robust Compliance strategies, implement group requirements and adapt these to regional needs and further RWE’s Compliance Management System
- Confidently deal with cases of suspected fraud, support investigations and respond to requests by local authorities
- Monitor changes to relevant laws and regulations to support the business and the global Head of Compliance to raise awareness of any material changes impacting RWE. Actively design, implement and maintain different types of comprehensive trainings, compliance communication, processes and other operational advice (developments of drafts, assessment of products, evaluation of transactional structures) for the business

- You see the big picture and are able to provide general context around specific topics whilst not losing focus on relevant details. You get things done and you can also work accurately under pressure whilst structuring and prioritizing your work.
- You have excellent stakeholder management abilities and you are able to build a solid network across countries and hierarchy levels. Translating complex legal topics into relevant messages is easy for you and are comfortable to communicate across all hierarchy levels of the organization on eye-level. You do not shy away from conflict and are confident to defend your position also when challenged by senior management or the board
- Previous Compliance, public law or corporate work experience in a law firm, in-house with a bank, a utility or with a regulator is an asset
