**Home Energy Assessor**

**Location**:Home Based covering North & West London / Hertfordshire

**Salary**:£25,000 - £30,000 per annum

The company is a construction project consultancy. Their key aim is to help their clients achieve a 'planet friendly’ property in a cost-effective way. The company survey their clients homes and report back to them on ways that they can improve their energyefficiency and comfort, taking a 'fabric first’ approach. They are 100% independent of any product suppliers so offer truly bespoke advice.

Due to unprecedented growth, the business are expanding their team of heat, energy and sustainability assessors and looking for an experienced professional to join their friendly, energetic team.

**The Role**

This consultancy role is based from home and you will be expected to cover client properties in North and West London, Hertfordshire and occasionally further afield. The key deliverable is visiting client homes, undertaking surveys which relate to the energyperformance of the property and reporting on findings. This may mean reviewing the construction of the house, looking at features such as windows, doors, the heating system and insulation and considering suitable improvement solutions.

**Specific jobs tasks will include**:

- Attending site to undertake the required survey or alternatively undertaking the survey via online technology.
- Taking relevant photographs of the property during the survey and uploading them to the central data system.
- Researching potential energy options suggested to ensure there are no better solutions.
- Writing up a survey report in a templated format provided by the company and issuing it to the client.
- Following up with the client to answer any queries.

**Person Specification**

In addition the company require:

- Driver with no more than 6 penalty points / own car
- Health & Safety on site awareness
- Experience of discussing heat, energy and / or building related enquiries with clients.
- The ability to be able to converse clearly and concisely with clients and have good written English skills.
- Good attention to detail and well organised
- Good ability on the phone
- Comfortable working alone and with the ability to work to required deadlines.
- Have a general interest in and the ability to use technology.

**Technical**
- Energy, heating, plumbing, surveying or Domestic Energy Assessor experience
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Ability to advise on a variety of technologies relating heat and / or energy which provide for a solution to the clients’ requirement
- Ability to write technical reports.
- Ability to write tender documentation (finishes schedules or scope of works) if required for a later stage of the works
- IT literacy - Excel & Word

**Salary and Benefits**

The salary range for this role is £25k - £30k per annum based on experience. The company also offer a generous mileage allowance, 25 days holiday and a company pension scheme. They are accredited for Corporate Social Responsibility and therefore look toinvest in training for their team.
