Here at Presentation Design Services, we seek someone to join our expanding team. We are a multi-disciplined event company that specialises in delivering events inventively and creatively. This role is not to be directly involved with event delivery but rather to support the users and IT systems that are vital to our day-to-day operations.

The business is currently operating from our base in Derby; the business will be relocating to Alfreton in the autumn of 2024. Interviews will be held at our current base in Derby.

**DESCRIPTION**:
The role of the IT assistant is to work with the IT lead and provide frontline support to all departments whilst maintaining, expanding and improving the IT solutions for the company and all its users.

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Relevant experience in front-line IT support - 2 years
- Familiarity with on-site Active Directory and Microsoft 365 - 2 years
- Working with servers, hardware and software - 2 years
- Network infrastructure: Installation, setup and maintenance - 1 year
- Taking apart and rebuilding IT hardware
- Knowledge of IT security practices

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Assisting the IT lead with day-to-day IT tasks. Including but not limited to:

- Day-to-day frontline user support
- User creation and administration
- Routine maintenance of all IT systems
- Procurement and installation of new IT equipment
- Maintenance of phone system
- Maintenance of backups
- Upkeep and maintenance of event-based IT hardware
- Network installation and management
- Software license management
- Management of VPNs
- Management of company Intranet
- Installation of new IT infrastructure, including network cables
- Asset management
- Remote management
- Hardware support and maintenance, including workstations, laptops, iPads and printers

- Advanced troubleshooting skills

- Can do attitude
- Nice to have: Experience with Unifi and SonicWall, Basic programming skills in Python, Nodejs, C#, HTML, and MySQL, Experience with Linux and Raspberry Pis

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £12,500.00-£15,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 per week
