- Prop Maker - Trainee

Full time position - 40 hours per week.

Starting rate £11.50 - £14 dependant on experience.

Location - in-house, Stockport SK4 3EB.

**Costumes with Character is one of the world’s leading Mascot and Costume Character Manufacturers, creating bespoke characters for a wide variety of clients from all sectors including leisure, entertainment, sports, education, corporate, charities and many more across the globe.**

**The Trainee Prop Maker’s duties will include**:

- Creating character heads and props which are an accurate representation of the design alongside being comfortable to wear, with good vision and ventilation.
- Working to a high standard and within given timeframes using a range of tools and materials. Plastazote, ABS vac formed plastics, glues, foams, faux fur, Lycra etc.
- Working closely with the whole creative team to achieve a quality product and expand on your creative skills.
- Assisting with all costume repairs, fixing and creating solutions for costumes returned during our annual ‘Refurb Season’.
- Cutting and sewing skills would be an advantage but not essential.

**The interview will require a short workshop skills test.**
