**About The Role**:
**SHE ADVISOR - Permanent opportunity**
**DIVISION: Building**
**LOCATION: Mallusk, Co. Antrim - Site based**

The GRAHAM Construction Building Division are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with sound knowledge of both construction methods as well as safety, health and environmental legislation.

The post holder should have a proactive attitude and be confident interacting with the site teams, other various business units and the Client’s team ,to ensure effective relationships are established and maintained.

This is a significant role within the Company as we continue to endeavour to keep the workforce free from injury and ill health and to ensure improvements are made to our current systems, which provide ongoing compliance with current H&S legislation.

**The SHE Advisor shall**:

- Advise the Project Management & Site Staff teams on safety, health, environmental and quality matters
- Conduct site health, safety, environmental compliance and behavioural/ cultural audits
- Investigate accidents, incidents and at risk observations
- Assist with and/or deliver relevant training programmes
- Deliver induction programmes, tool-box talks and briefings if required
- Review relevant company and sub-contractor’s paperwork
- Prepare information for regular site bulletins
- Prepare legislation updates and advisory memos for the site management team and operatives
- Assist in the preparation and updating of construction phase plans, method statements and risk assessments
- Assist in the preparation and updating of environment management plans and site waste management plans
- Be instrumental in encouraging observation reporting
- Lead by example

In addition, from time to time the post holder may be required to:

- Assist with responses to PQQ, Bid, and tender questions, and

**Personal Specification**
**Essential**
- Proven H&S experience experience gained in construction or a construction related discipline
- Formal H&S qualification e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate
- Holder of CSCS / CSR / Safepass card
- Detailed Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation
- Detailed Knowledge of relevant Environmental legislation
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of construction processes
- Demonstrate strong communication, numeracy and literacy skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Word and Excel

**Desirable**
- Working towards, or possessing, as a minimum Grad IOSH or equivalent professional qualification
- Knowledge of a Behavioural Based Safety approach to H&S improvement
