Recycling Officer

Job Overview:
To increase recycling and reduce waste by communicating with the residents of Conwy. To respond to service requests for new or replacement recycling containers

**Duties**:

- Responsible for all aspects of recycling and waste minimisation performance in an assigned community area.
- Visit non-participating householders to provide advice and information on recycling.
- Participate in the implementation of new schemes through the distribution of information literature and recycling containers.
- Advise the general public and other interested bodies on recycling and waste minimisation in writing, in person or by telephone.
- Respond to service requests for new or replacement recycling containers.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: £12.38 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (required)

**Experience**:

- Knowledge of of sustainable waste management, recycling: 1 year (required)

**Language**:

- English and Welsh (required)

Licence/Certification:

- UK Driving Licence (required)
- DBS (required)
