We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated, registered healthcare professional leader to come and work with us as GMMH’s Tobacco Dependency Treatment Lead.

The postholder will work as part of the Nursing and Governance Team promoting, supporting, and implementing the GMMH Smoke Free Policy across the Trust.

This will involve providing education and support to staff and patients, representing the Trust at Regional and National meetings, and monitoring and improving standards of patient care in relation to the Smoke Free agenda.
- Promotes, supports, and implements the GMMH Smoke Free Policy across GMMH including all aspects of smoking cessation, tobacco dependence and treatment and prevention and management.
- Represents the Trust at Regional and National meetings in relation to the Smoke free agenda.
- Demonstrate higher levels of clinical decision-making influencing patient care through expert clinical practice, leadership, education, research, and management skills.
- Monitors and improves standards of patient care, building effective and therapeutic relationships across the care pathway, including inpatients, community, and follow-up care in liaison with local services.
- Be directly responsible for staff training and patient education ensuring a consistent approach and adherence with tobacco dependence treatment plans and compliance with GMMH Smoke Free policy.
