Veterinary Receptionist

Vets4Pets Norwich Longwater is looking for a receptionist to help with our increasing caseload.

We are a small animal first opinion practice based in Norwich and see a variety of cases including orthopaedics, and ophthalmology referrals.

We are looking for someone with exceptional customer service skills.

You must have customer facing/front of house experience and excellent communication skills.

You will be a positive team player with an aptitude to adapt well to the ever changing environment.

You must be able to prioritise and multitask effectively whilst maintaining a positive and supportive outlook.

As our front of house ambassador you will be greeting clients and their patients, ensuring we have all their correct contact details.

You will keep our reception area clean and presentable at all times.

You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:

- Dealing with all types of phone enquiries in a polite and efficient manner
- Promoting and advising clients on high standards of preventative healthcare
- Promoting our Health Care Plans
- Managing appointment diaries
- Taking payments
- Processing insurance queries and claims
- Managing outstanding accounts and credits
- Processing end of day banking.
- Dealing with minor complaints in a supportive and effective manner.

We are a busy practice with a large varied caseload with the ability to work up cases in house and clinical freedom to do so.

We are always looking to improve our standards with regular clinical meetings, journal club and CPD.

We are always striving to improve our work life balance and the mental health of our team.

We have appointed a mental health first aider and have implemented the BVA good workplace guide.

Norwich is a small city on the East coast of the UK. We are half an hour from the coast, have the Norfolk Broads just down the road and are about 2 hours from London.
- 5.5 hour shifts (Between the hours of 8am and 7.30pm)
- 1:4 weekends (Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 10.30am-4.30pm)
- CPD encouraged

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 14.75 per week

**Salary**: £8.28-£11.22 per hour
