Emea Enterprise Data Project Manager

London, United Kingdom Incite Insight Full time

**EMEA EDM (ENTERPRISE DATA MANAGEMENT) PROJECT MANAGER**

**Background** Across the EMEA region, our client is transitioning from independent local country technology solutions to the adoption of core and aligning standards.

EMEA Technology Solutions has delivered a number of initiatives which have provided common core standards for infrastructure, end user computers and technology support. There is now a focus on the delivery of core Enterprise Applications for both HR andFinance. This Digital Transformation will move from a position of multiple back-end systems to scalable, enterprise SaaS solutions that each local country will adopt.

For the two Transformation programmes to be successful, it is recognised that our client needs to address the current, fragmented and siloed data through an Enterprise Data Management (EDM) project

**Approach** Following the Digital Transformation of the Technology team, a couple of EMEA Programmes are currently delivering new ways of working for HR and Finance. These programmes will select new cloud technology solutions based on an agreed Vision, Scope and setof requirements. The new technology, process and organisation will be delivered in tranches across the region and become the standard for that functional area. Further transformations to standard ways of working are likely in areas such as Marketing in thenear future.

For these programmes to deliver true value, the data that they consume, analyse and produce needs to be reliable and actionable. The data should drive informed decision making. Therefore, a discrete 'enabling project’ will be run alongside the two programmesto deliver better enterprise data for both HR and Finance.

The project aims to define a number of master data sets (and the governance around them) in order to align reporting between different domains in our company (Sales, Finance, HR). The project will contain three workstreams: Glossary (what we call things),Governance (ownership & process) and finally Technology (EDM tool selection and implementation).

**Responsibilities**
- Lead the planning and implementation of the enterprise data management project, including coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource plans to ensure project stays on track and within scope
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and business partners to ensure project success
- Define intra-initiative dependencies and manage these where owned
- As the project manager, one of the responsibilities would be to set up meetings with stakeholders within the business as part of the Enterprise Data Governance processes. This could include coordinating with stakeholders to schedule meetings, preparingagendas and materials for the meetings, and facilitating discussions to ensure that the meetings are productive and achieve their goals. In addition, the project manager may need to follow up with stakeholders after the meetings to ensure that any action itemsor decisions made during the meeting are implemented. Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop contingency plans as needed
- Communicate project status, progress, and any issues or concerns to stakeholders and project team members.
- Work closely with the business to understand their data management requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs
- Act as the primary point of contact for the project, representing the project team to stakeholders and ensuring that project goals and objectives are met
- Support the Business Analyst on the analysis activities that happen within the 'Glossary’ workstream
- Develop governance models with the stakeholders, and produce the governance documentation for each of the dimensions
- Report Progress, plans, risks and issues to the EMEA Executives on a monthly basis

**Skills & Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, business administration)
- 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in a data management or IT environment
- Strong knowledge of master data management concepts and best practices
- Experience with project management tools and techniques, such as Prince 2, Agile and Scrum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and manage project risks and issues
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Reporting clearly, including in person the Senior Executives
