**Sales Representative - job description**

Working from home, you will be responsible for driving sales through garden centre and similar retailers in an area from the M25 to South Yorkshire including East Anglia, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.

This is a high value sales area containing some of the largest garden centres in the UK and has the potential to deliver rapid sales growth.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Identify and approach all potential retail and wholesale accounts in your sales region
- Devise a journey plan that maximises customer contact time
- Develop profitable long-term relationships with all potential accounts
- Develop an intimate knowledge of all products
- Negotiate within agreed fixed cost budgets
- Demonstrate skills in listening, sales presentation and closing in order to secure sales growth
- Attend trade shows or other showcase events

We seek a talented Sales Representative with at least 5 years of field sales experience dealing with retailers. Ideally you will have previously sold to garden centres but we are also keen to talk to outstanding sales people from other consumer goods environments.

Specific qualities will include:

- A home location in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire or Nottinghamshire
- Drive and determination to hit targets
- Motivated by achievement and financial reward
- A persuasive communicator able to influence both internally and externally
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
