Recra is working in partnership with a leading Recycling Multi-site operation who are looking to recruit a Forklift Team Supervisor to join their team.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- This role is central to the production team and the day-to-day tasks include but are not limited to;
- Supervising a team of 6 Monday-Friday and on weekends a team of 10 forklift drivers and bale pickers
- Making sure all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times by staff
- Making sure all team members complete work on time and to a good standard
- Using a variety of mobile plants - including forklifts, clamp trucks and shovel loaders;
- Loading and offloading vehicles in a timely manner
- including containers, flatbed lorries, and curtain side lorries, ensuring the material is of the correct quality;
- Ensuring the mobile plant is clean and in good working order - documenting the condition and reporting defects;
- Controlling the quality of incoming material on a day-to-day basis and providing feedback to the quality of the materials and Yard Supervisors; completing relevant documentation accordingly;
- Operating fixed plant to a high standard ensuring daily maintenance and cleaning are undertaken
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping on-site on a day-to-day basis;
- Ensure compliance with relevant Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation;
- To maintain housekeeping of defined equipment areas to appropriate gmp / 5s and best practice systems;
- Ensuring aspects of Operational and noise management plans are adhered to at all times;
- Undertaking any other duties to meet ongoing needs of the organization

**Personal Specification**:

- Great people management skills
- Previous team leader experience desirable
- Previous experience in using mobile plant mandatory
- Previous experience in operating balers is desired but not essential as training will be provided
- Previous work experience in the recycling industry is desired but not essential
- Able to think creatively, act on own judgment with mínimal supervision and work as part of a team
- Integrity and initiative
- Good attention to detail and focus on quality
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively
- Results-driven; focused on achieving required objectives and targets
- Self-motivated, with a desire for continual improvement
- Flexible and adaptable in order to achieve the aims of the business

**Hours of Work**: 4 on 4 off day shift pattern 5:45 am-18:15pm
